happy/sad
September 15th, 2008 Posted in PersonalI got a good email recently titled “happy/sad”. It was a joke, you might have come across it. Joke was “Husband and wife were lying in bed, and the husband turned to the wife and said, ‘Go on. Tell me something that will make me happy and sad at the same time.’” Anyway, the punchline was funny. See if you can guess. Unless you already got the email, it’s probably a viral one… it was pretty funny, after all.
Today, I’m here to apologise for my lack of postage — the weekend was busy, and the backup puty (on which I’m typing away now) is on its last legs. It’s dying, ever-so-painfully slowly. Just when you think it’s about to finally kick it (and ease your pain), it gets it’s second wind. Currently it’s in limbo. It got to rock bottom today, ran totally out of battery and died. Then the battery charged. But it could die anytime, and I’m still expecting it to. Sigh.
The good news is that Acer have granted me a replacement under DOA, like they should have right from the start. So I should get the sexy puty back sometime this week. Means I will finally be back in the world of ‘being able to actually do things with your computer’. It’s a world I like to be in, because the crappy puty really shows me how bad it can be… Please sexy puty, come back to me!
More bad news is reflected in the fact that if the crappy puty does indeed die the death of non-life, then I won’t have anything to take with me to Japan… Sigh… We booked hotels with WiFi, dammit! I wanna post about cool stuff, and check my email, and keep in contact with the people I’m supposed to meet in Tokyo! Anyway… If it’s still alive, I’ll probably take it… Got a free notebook bag from work — I wanna use it, for spaghetti monster’s sake!
Well, that’s all. If I post tomorrow, then the little puty is still happy. If not, it’s in its deathbed again. But hopefully Wednesday I won’t post, because I’ll be busy setting up my new new computer! Yay me! It only took a month!
