Quake Live in beta…

The gods of gaming look lovingly upon us, my children. Yea, though we be unappreciative and overly judgemental, the gods do shine their favour upon us in their divine mercy. Get down on your knees, sinner, and prepare for the word, for the word be like fire on thy soul, and thou mayst be cleansed… Read on, and be saved…
*Ahem* Quake Live is going into beta — you can sign up here — and hopefully will soon be online for us all. If you’re not aware, Quake Live is an online FPS, and its beauty lies in its price, a hefty zero dollars. Not even one yen. And don’t let me get into its lack of lire, oh god no. Check out the video below.
Sure, its not as polished as other games. But it’s FREE. Well, it will be, when it’s finally released. The video states it is ‘totally free’ and has 32 arenas… Now that’s pretty good for free. And it’s Quake, not exactly an unknown brand. So for me, I’m looking forward to it. Hell, I’m fanging for the bugger — let me at it! Wait, no, don’t. My PC can’t even handle two windows open, let alone an actual game. Sigh. New PC, here I come!
