The Last Guy: Best. Premise. Ever.
July 11th, 2008 Posted in GamesWow. If there was ever a great idea for a PSN game (or XBLA or WiiWare, for that matter), it’s this. Apparently, using locations from Google Earth, the point of this title is to guide a group of “survivors” through the streets to a predetermined safe area… away from a pack of zombies (awesome, I know) — well, such is my understanding, at least. Simple idea, simple kind of gameplay, but a super, super, wonderfully awesome (and did I mention super?) idea. Particularly if you can choose the area yourself (which, of course, I’m guessing you can’t — it would be difficult to program how to recognise ’streets,’ etc.), but I’m sure there will be regular DLC.
Now… The official site does have a video, but don’t go if you expect anything intelligible. DO go if you want a quick chuckle. It’s an attempt at viral advertising; it might work, it might not, but there’s no info about the game, let alone screenshots. A better place to look would be the Kotaku article, as they have a scan from a J-mag, although it’s not the best of scans. Still much much better than the video… Super.

Zombie Ambulance was a similair game on PS2. Its awesome, but not as awesome as this premise!
