Big Brother Update 3
July 8th, 2008 Posted in Movies/TVBig Brother is soon to finish, and really, since my last BB post, I haven’t been too interested. Nobbi was my favourite, so I was a little disheartened with the voting public, as may be evident from the last post. Anyway, I have kept watching, however.
The flirting that was going on between Ben and Bianca was interesting, until she left, of course. Although it is pretty obvious that Ben did not want go there, which was really sad. It really made Ben look like a scared little boy, because he was obviously into her. But then again, there has been a whole of of events recently that have shown Ben to be somewhat immature — the “accidentally” thrown ball, followed by his blatant disregard of the rules by taking a shower. Oh well, whatever, he’s still a damn-sight better than Cherry.
And it looks like Terri, Alice, or Travis are gonna win this thing. Great. The three that I don’t want to win. OK, maybe Terri deserves it because she’s done so well for an old bird, but she’s boring. And Travis? Don’t get me started. It might not be an act for TV — he might really be like that, and think that way — but it’s so unrealistic. It’s terribly annoying, and a frightening example of today’s youth, and what they think is right. Lame, lame, lame. The world doesn’t work that way, and it certainly doesn’t need to. Then there’s Alice. She seems like a nice girl, but damn it she doesn’t think she’s pretty great, herself. She seems to think shes right all the time, and she also thinks she’s the smartest person in the house. But you know what, an old Japanese adage (from Nitobe’s Bushido) suggests that book knowledge does not make someone intelligent. And I don’t think she has that much book knowledge, either.
OK, as always, I need to be fair. I don’t know these people and I’m basing my opinion on what a TV show decides to show. Still. Lame. Go Rory! Win it for the ordinary bloke!
Dude, you’re not 30 yet! Stop acting so old. Travis reminds me of you some times, leave the kid alone. (^o^)V
Ouch, ouch, ouch! Look, it’s not that he acts like a dick; that’s fine, and perhaps that’s how he reminds you of me (unfortunately), but to be so positive all the time, and try to diffuse every situation by ‘understanding’ everybodys point of view - THAT’s what I hate. It’s not the childishness or the stupidity, because, like you said, that’s pretty much how I act.
I don’t think that’s an ‘old’ perspective; if I was to take that stance, then I would rant and rave about Cherry and Bridgette. Wait, I did complain about Bridgette… Oh well, if you think I’m acting old, such is life. At least I don’t live in stinky Sydney. Moscow 3010!
