Australian video game news… amongst other things!

Regional price discrepancies…

July 1st, 2008 Posted in News

We all know we pay shitloads more than the rest of the world for certain products — video games, CDs, DVDs, the list goes on. Well, it might not, but at least these three are things we pay more for. Finally someone else is bringing it to the attention of the rest of Australia.

I found this post at News.com.au through Kotaku. It is a quite well-written article covering digital distribution, and includes a helpful table of pricing. It’s ace. It needed to be done, and not just by us bloggers. Next, we need someone to look at the difference between the pricing of games, consoles, and DVDs themselves, for further proof. Then maybe, well… nothing will happen, probably… Sigh.
