Australian Big Brother 2008
May 4th, 2008 Posted in Movies/TVI waited a little before I posted about this, because I wanted to get past my first impressions. It’s been five years since I last watched BB and, as an old fan, I was a bit skeptical about the quality of the show… considering it’s still on air (I didn’t think it would last much longer after I left).
And, to be honest, a couple of the housemates are the regular bimbo(and himbo)-types that annoyed me the first time around- but perhaps that’s part of the plan- you need to start with at least someone that the public doesn’t want to watch, to make it easier to choose who you DO want to watch.
But this time, compared to my previous experience with BB, I have found there are some actually interesting individuals on there- some people with some interesting stories to tell. Aannnnd… some without, but I mentioned that already.
I don’t really want to discuss specific housemates yet, but I find some of the choices made by the producers with regards to housemates and “twists” have been pretty interesting. And Corey? Great idea. Don’t ive a rat’s ass about him myself, but I reckon a lot of people are gonna watch to find out about him… And then setting the grandmother on him? Priceless.
Big brother may have become a bit monotonous over the years (or so I’ve heard), but they really seem to be shaking things up this year. Gives me something to do apart from playing video games.
Pity the feisty little one broke her leg, though. She was one of the interesting ones.
