Japan: Photos of Interestertainment

Hey! Have another photo! All the work I had planned for the weekend has flowed out of me today… I got two big posts done (second coming in the future), as well as this one… But admittedly this is a pretty easy post… Putting up a picture and explaining it can’t be that difficult… Well, OK, explaining it can…
Both myself and my housemate found this to be quite amusing during our stay, and we both took a photo within days of each other (from memory)… This poster was on the window of our local hair salon, and obviously made us laugh. I actually found the same poster in several salons, which makes me wonder– is this a popular and marketable service, or were they simply aiming for a niche? It’s confounding, dammit!
Then there’s the fact it’s just a close-up of a lady’s face… Sure, some women in Japan have the mad crazy sideburns, but I’m not sure it warrants this kind of wacky poster-placing behaviour! Or perhaps they are just being tactful… Leave it at that, shall we?
