Weekend BBQ- Roast Chicken

April 12th, 2008 Posted in Personal, Weekend BBQ

Howdy! Saturdays are usually pretty busy for me, and as much as I’d like to sit down and write up a storm, I can’t always do it. So I have something short and sweet for you today, in the form of my new regular- Weekend BBQ!

The missus and I love to barbecue- not because we can’t cook otherwise, but simply because BBQs kick ass! Every weekend we fire up the barbie, throw down a few bits of dead animal, and feast on its charred flesh! With beer! So I decided to show you our feats each week- of course, weather permitting, as I don’t have any shelter over my barbie…

Whole Roast ChickenToday, we decided to try our hands at a roast. So we grabbed a whole free-range chook, threw it in a disposable roasting tray, cooked it for a couple of hours with some veggies, and voila! Chicken surprise! The surprise is it tasted WICKED KICK ASS AWESOME. I think you’ll agree it looks pretty damn tasticle! It is (now) my plan to veer away from the simple “char-cow” and cook up some delightful meals for your entertainment! Expect a Kangaroo roast in the future (once I convince Mihoko it’s worthy)….

Tomorrow I hope to work on a couple of posts- a personal one, delving further into the crap that makes me, me and at least one other- looking to your good selves for input. So please read and leave a comment for that one. I’m sure you’re clever enough to know which one. Otherwise, comment on them all, bwahaha!

Peace and wickedness to you all, have a tops and/or ace weekend, get into the grog, and don’t do anything too stupid.

Hello there, you don’t know me. I wish I knew you though. You cooked the shit outta that chicken. I especially like how the carrot it being born from its chicken-hole. Please come to Sydney and visit me (who you don’t know) and cook the shit out of a carrot-birthing chicken for me (and my friend Jan who you also have never met).
Yours Sincerely.
Rufinold P Felthamovich (Stranger).
